About Vocal Remover
Vocal Remover takes the lead vocals out of a stereo song so that you can sing along or reuse the backing music. It removes sound that sits in the centre of the mix, where most vocals are, and you can choose to keep the bass. You can also add a music video and get the video back with the vocals removed, or save just the audio. It is not AI, so results vary by song. Your files stay on your device.

Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
Lead vocals are usually the same in the left and right channels. Subtracting one channel from the other cancels them, and the rest of the music stays.
Will the vocals be completely gone?
Not always. Songs with wide stereo vocals, harmonies or reverb may keep some voice. Results are best on older stereo studio recordings.
Why is the result silent?
Mono recordings have identical left and right channels, so everything cancels out. This tool needs a stereo song.
Can I remove vocals from a video?
Yes. Add a video and keep Keep the picture ticked. You get the same video back with the vocals removed, and the picture is not re-encoded. It works best on music videos with a stereo mix.
Can I use the result commercially?
Only if you have the rights to the song. Use music that you own or have permission to use.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
