About Redact PDF
Redact PDF lets you drag black boxes over names, numbers and anything else sensitive. Pages with boxes are converted to images, so the covered text cannot be copied or recovered. Other pages stay unchanged.

Frequently asked questions
Is the hidden text really removed?
Yes. Pages with black boxes become flat images, so the text under the boxes no longer exists in the file.
Why can't I select text on redacted pages?
Those pages are images now. That is what makes the redaction permanent.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
