Frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
This tool adds new text, boxes and pictures on top of the page. It cannot rewrite the original text. Draw a white box over old text, then type new text above it.
Does a white box delete the text underneath?
No. The original text is still in the file. To remove it for good, use Redact PDF.
Which characters can I type?
Standard Latin letters, numbers and common symbols. Other scripts are replaced with a question mark.
Can I add my signature?
Yes. Add a picture of your signature, or use Sign PDF to draw it.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
